Free Internet Auction Site's High Search Engine Rankings Plus New Additions Equal Skyrocketing Success in First Quarter
January 27, 2004. (PRWEB) Thorndale, PA. Whybidmore, com, the free internet auction site created by avid sportscard and memorabilia collector Christopher LaBuda continues to gain momentum among the internet auction shopping community.
Whybidmore.com promises a no-cost, high-benefit auction experience, and it certainly seems to be delivering. The site's rise in popularity is evident in at least two of the internet's top search engines, Google and Alexa where Whybidmore currently ranks in the top 33,000 most-visited websites on the internet.
Whybidmore.com has been online since 2002 and now boasts over 2200 registered users and thousands of current auctions.
Recent updates to Whybidmore's services, coupled with a revamped discussion forum promise to make it the place to be in 2004 for collectors, dealers and vendors alike. Whybidmore's forum offers several topics, where visitors are encouraged to discuss everything from their favourite collectibles to their experiences with other internet auction sites.
If that long-lost treasure proves elusive at Whybidmore's auctions, a quick visit to the Collectibles Directory offers a multitude of possibility, where over 3500 sites in over 30 categories have been collected.
A recent announcement of rising fees by one of Whybidmore's competitors only increases the appeal to vendors, dealers and online shoppers because of Whybidmore.com's free auction listings and extensive shopping resources.
Although making big bad auction sites nervous is a tall order, LaBuda remains confident: "We are advertising heavily and traffic is increasing and interest is growing."

Free Auction Site Goes 'No Reserve' As Registered Member Count Tops 1100
August 4, 2003 (PRWEB) Thorndale, PA. A free-to-sell, buy and browse auction and
collectibles site that introduced itself in January 2003 to the delight of online
collectors is growing in popularity, having reached its 1100th member.
Whybidmore.com, the brainchild of Dr. Christopher LaBuda, answers to the
escalating costs of online auctions, and addresses LaBuda's perceived lack of
quality collectibles resource web sites. The site offers its members free specialty
auctions, an extensive collectibles website directory, a collectibles forum to discuss
collectibles-related merchandise, and low-cost quality web hosting.
Dr. LaBuda has been an avid collector of sports cards, autographs and related
memorabilia for over 15 years and remains delighted with his company's progress:
"We are pleasantly surprised at the number of users that we have gained over the past
few months, and our continued advertising should allow us to grow rapidly during
the next year."
In May of 2003, LaBuda's target of 4000 web sites in the Whybidmore.com directory
by year's end seemed a formidable task. However, current web site listings are already
at a whopping 2600 with five months still remaining until December. With Whybidmore's
current growth, LaBuda expects his registered member count to exceed 2500 by the end
of this year.
Recent additions to the site include a generous affiliate program, which pays
affiliates $0.01 per click for banners or text placed on their web sites. Dr. LaBuda
is confident about this particular addition: "We believe this affiliate program will
help drive more people with an interest in collectibles to Whybidmore.com." Another
recent addition is a collectibles banner exchange that was added to assist other related
websites advertise their wares without paying anything to advertise.
Currently, Whybidmore.com boasts over 850 auctions listed in 33 categories.
Dr. LaBuda's goal for Whybidmore.com to become "the leading online resource for
collectibles" will become even more of a reality in the coming months, with plans
for several interactive additions, including chats hosted by collectibles experts.
